Investing in Nicaragua

Nicaragua is located in the heart of Central America and has stood out in recent years for consistent economic growth, strategic location and for being one of the safest countries in the region.
Today there exist many opportunities for investors that establish a business in Nicaragua. With a low barrier of entry, even compared with other countries in the region, the process for incorporating a company in Nicaragua is fast and easy from start to finish. This means that within a short amount of time an investor would be able to set up a company and begin investing in a country that has a rapidly growing middle class, a robust tourism industry and a national strategy geared towards growth. Also, the government has implemented in the interest of making Nicaragua a competitive option for any investor important incentives that have been pivotal in the exponential growth of import/export industries, manufacturing, forestry and even agricultural sectors.

Incorporating

The best way to set up a business in Nicaragua is through a corporation. The best and most used corporate entity is the Sociedad Anónima or what could also simply be referred to as a stock corporation.

It is important to note that at the moment a Sociedad Anónima or stock corporation is currently the only option available for foreign investors to invest in the country since other regiments require the individual to have either citizenship or permanent residency in Nicaragua.

Other than the aforementioned, the rest of the process for incorporating is straight forward and the requirements are minimal. Additionally, there is no requirement that requires foreign investors to include a Nicaraguan resident or citizen to be part of the corporation.

Some of the benefits of the Sociedad Anónima are as follows:

• Anonymity of the shareholders.
• The entity is considered a Nicaraguan person and it may be used to petition residency for any of its shareholders that are foreigners.
• As a Nicaraguan person the entity is protected by Nicaraguan legislation.
• Unlike the Limited Liability Company, the Sociedad Anónima may continue as long as there are at least 2 shareholders and a Nicaraguan or permanent resident as Legal Representative.

Legal Representation

Since the corporation is a separate legal entity distinct from its shareholders it is required that the shareholders that form the corporation appoint a legal representative to act on behalf of the entity.
The legal representative has to be a Nicaraguan Resident or Citizen and have a domicile in the country.

It is important and recommended that the shareholders designate someone of their trust to assume representation. Additionally, even though the legal representative generally speaking has considerable powers or representation, these can also be limited as the Board of Directors deem reasonable.

 Proffesional Employer Organization (PEO) www.gceglobalsolutions.com

Maybe you were wondering what PEO is. Well, the Professional employer organizations (PEO) are entities that provide employee management services, such as payroll processing, benefits management and recruitment, to businesses. This allows employers to outsource their human resource functions, such as employee benefits, compensation and payroll administration, workers’ compensation, and employment taxes.

PEO’s are the most effective way for small and mid-sized companies to outsource employer services such as payroll services, benefit plan administration and workers’ compensation administration.

Now, you may be wondering what are the benefits of hiring a PEO for your business, so next we will list some of them:

Positive Return Of Investment (ROI).
Employers see an average annual return on investment of 27.2% from using a PEO.

Faster growth rate. Businesses who use a PEO grow 7-9% faster and are 50% less likely to go out of business.

Improved compliance. PEOs stay up-to-date on business regulations to reduce risk and ensure your company remains compliant.

Hire a PEO means you’re going to lose control of your company? The reality is that you will never lose control of your business when you hire a PEO. #DoItWithGCE

If you have considered starting a business inside or outside your country, or if you already have an established company, surely the payment of the employee’s payroll is an issue that you have paid special attention to. And it is a process that demands dedicated personnel, with knowledge of the legislation and current regulations and the use of specialized tools to perform this function, extra costs that undoubtedly some companies cannot afford so easily.
Fortunately, there is an effective solution for this need, Payroll outsourcing, which is an excellent option for any company, regardless of size, that wants this process to be carried out in the best way, saving resources in its execution.

As we have mentioned, Payroll outsorcing has different benefits for your company, below we list 5 of the main reasons for hiring this service:

Cost savings

Payroll outsourcing often saves you money compared to performing this task inhouse. Processing payroll in-house means investing in the necessary IT equipment, payroll or accounting software, and providing training to managers to ensure payroll is processed correctly.

Additionally, employers must stay up-to-date on changes in tax rules, staffing, and accounting deadlines.

Ignoring these issues can be costly and expose the company to additional liability.

Prioritization of the main business Payroll is unlikely to be a core function of your business.

Because it’s a secondary function, whatever time and resources you put into it means less time to focus on income-generating activities. By hiring an expert in controlling your payroll processing, you can better use your time in areas more closely related to your core business or revenue centers, such as customer service, sales, and marketing.

Save time

Whether you have 10 or 100 employees, processing payroll takes a lot of time and attention. Processing payroll internally means that you or your staff may need to enter extensive data.
When you consider the time spent processing and managing payroll, outsourcing to a trusted service provider can seem attractive. After all, time is money.

Expertise

Working with an international provider of Payroll outsourcing services means you gain access to their years of experience.

This instant access is especially important if you work in different parts of the world and need an expert who is familiar with all the local rules and regulations.

Normative compliance

One of the most daunting tasks for small and medium-sized businesses is complying with mandatory laws, regulations, and rules, especially when foreign governments are involved.
Companies may need in-depth knowledge of various regulations to avoid breaking the law. Legal and compliance requirements related to payroll are often complex. It becomes even more complicated when operating internationally.
By hiring payroll from a trusted service provider, you can delegate this task to a company that is aware of local, regional and national laws and regulations to avoid unnecessary sanctions or audits caused by potential non-compliance.
Now, after reading this blog, you surely have a clearer idea of the benefits that hiring a professional payroll outsorcing service brings to your company and in GCE Global Solutions you will be able to find the strategic ally you need, offering you the most efficient and competitive solution of the market, always ready to work for the success of your organization.
In addition to payroll outsourcing services, at GCE Global Solutions you can also find legal outsourcing services, accounting, fiscal and tax outsourcing and commercial and marketing outsourcing, multiple solutions in the same partner.

At GCE global Solutions we do things right!

Each one defines the nature and measure of what success is in their life. But in all cases, it is the product of an inductive process, one that starts from the small until reaching.

Success is not a «great phenomenon» that appears suddenly in life. It is not a fact that responds to chance, and it is seldom the result of chance.

Success is the product of effort and sacrifice.
Countless decisions, losses, and concessions, «sweat and tears.»
Nothing costs a person more than to achieve it. Because it summarizes his logos, victories, the meaning, and the purpose of his life.

No one can claim that they do not pursue success; it does not agree with human nature. There may be no homogeneous criterion to determine what success is or represents for everyone, but this it’s sought. From the conscious dimension or from the energy that emerges from the subconscious.

The search for success is a cry of the human Spirit. His short life on the planet is a record of efforts to achieve it. Man is born destined for this task. He lives trying to fulfill it and dies committed to the labor.

Now, classifying success beyond its essential sense of victory or purpose fulfilled involves something else.

It is difficult for anyone to understand it outside of intimate personal boundaries.

Sadly, today it has become a «socially acceptable» premise to link success to certain achievements or statuses. There is a kind of «social court» provides models and examples of what success is. And he dares to establish concrete associations between himself and people or things.

This exercise can be called anything, but it is not an explanation of success. This cannot be judged by third parties. The criterion that defines it is intimate, totally personal.

The yardstick that measures a person’s success is his exclusive property. And so it is also the shortest rod that exists, the least pious.

No one escapes to his measure, but neither has the right to pass judgment on others.

How many people who have been «socially» recognized for their success have ended their days feeling completely miserable? And on the other hand, how many people inscribed in the deepest anonymity rest in the stillness and in the heat of victory?

And is that Success is written with a lowercase «e»; If there is a great victory, the final triumph, or the grandiose achieving. This is nothing more than a delicate sum of successes with a small “e”; Small achievements, concrete victories.

Now, why is the measure of success on a small scale? Here is a simple but transcendental answer: victory or the achievement that qualifies success is the product of man’s triumph over himself.

There is no more difficult battle than that which man fights with himself. There is no more important undertaking or effort that pays better.

When man overcomes his limitations, fears, impediments, frustrations, he meets exactly the most demanding success parameter. But given the magnitude of these adversaries, victories are not summarized in big headlines; they are measured in small achievements.

The man who accumulates smalltriumphs over himself, protects and consolidates them, is firmly heading for victory.

This fight lasts a lifetime. For those who seek success, the pause does not exist, because it is, in reality, a fuel for failure.

For some reason, failure takes root man within himself.  Notfound on external factors.

Nor is it, of course, the product of chance, fate, or fate. Well, be it so! Because human beings have shown an admirable ability to overcome the elements, overcome catastrophes and shape their destiny on earth.
However, it is a defenseless creature when it must face itself, vulnerable and incapable.

In large part, this is because people put themselves at a disadvantage by observing and measuring challenges in their full magnitude.

Man makes a mistake when comparing the measure of his success with the size of the adversity he faces that way because it seems distant and unattainable.

The university student who fails to perform in his subjects rarelythinks that
success is probably found in the ability to get up an hour earlier each day.

The office worker who does not receive a job promotion, little does he think that success awaits him after a different disposition to go to work every day.
Without regret, wanting to do it one more time.

The success of those who no longer want to smoke begins by quitting for half a day.
Then a full day and then two. At a certain point, that success with a small “e” has become a great success (because that is how the winner must consider it).

The success that the father wants is probably in the need to beat time and have the necessary to pick up the child from school.

In the turbulence that qualifies life, there will be few who say that little remedies do not heal great ills. But here lies a fundamental error.
Because as long as success is not understandable as «a small and transcendental detail» it will be outside the ability of man to achieve it.

Success is actually a small detail. But do not forget
that important things are made of details! How the universe is made of atoms.

Once a little success has been achieved, it is necessary to hold fast to victory. And then continue the march in pursuit of a new one. When this process does not stop, a man reaches greater heights.

There is no more energy for the soul than the feeling of triumph and the taste of victory. Nothing is more stimulating. When a man knows victory, he does not stop in his eagerness to replicate it.

In the same way, when victory is elusive because the struggle toachieve it is enormous, the burden is hard on the soul.

It takes a lot to think and understand the profound logic of the following: is there a goal, no matter how ambitious, that is not made up of many elements? Working on these elements is not also reached the whole? The larger the hole, isn’t it more convenient to attack the components?

Well, why then deny yourselfthe possibility of attackingproblems in their small but vital components?

One by one, firmly. Consolidating one success after another. And if there are many problems, then also attack them ONE by ONE, overcoming them consecutively. In doing so, at some point, the core structure of the issue gives way.

Never has the great oriental patience been so well exposed as in the adage that «every journey of a thousand leagues begins with the first step.» How can this logic be denied? How to ignore it? That first step is the first victory; it is the first success. One that should be written with a lowercase «e»; But one without which nothing else exists.

Human nature has shown the grandeur of the wood with which it is made. Man does not feel like a weak creature in the face of the immensity of the universe that houses him. There are a few times that he has challenged him and has bent his arm. He is weak when faced with himself. He underestimates the destructive power that he has within him. He proudly behaves when he does not know that the problem is in him. That is why success eludes him.

It is vital to do something different. Start that little march after the hits with a small “e”.

On the other hand, what can be lost? Well, if you don’t dosomething different, you will only get more of the same as always.

The internet has become an integral component of the modern human experience. The majority of us use the internet for everything from socializing to working to entertaining ourselves, and the role it plays in our lives is always growing.

The growth trajectory of the internet has been incredible. The World Wide Web was first made publicly available in 1991. It had, quite literally, a handful of active users. Today, more than half the world’s population uses it.

There are many fascinating internet statistics to explore. This article will answer some of the most common questions you may have about internet access, internet traffic, eCommerce, social media, and everything else about the internet.

Internet Statistics – At a Glance

The article below will explore hundreds of fascinating figures and statistics. Below, you will find dedicated sections covering stats on internet users, devices, online shopping, social media, digital advertising, and much more.

If you’re just looking for some highlights, here are some of the most noteworthy statistics you should know:

  • More than 58% of the world’s population are active internet users (that’s more than 4.5 billion people)
  • In wealthy countries like the United States, up to 90% of citizens have internet access
  • The average internet user spends 6.5 hours a day on the internet
  • More than 50% of internet use is conducted on mobile devices
  • There are an estimated 1.8 billion websites on the internet
  • There are more than 3.5 billion Google searches every day
  • Over 2 billion people shop online every year, driving substantial economic activity

Internet Population Statistics: How Many People are Internet Users?

As of July 2020, there were over 4.57 billion active internet users. Compare this to the world population of more than 7.8 billion, and we can see the scale of the internet’s effect on our societies.

Today, more than 58% of humans are active internet users. And remember, this figure includes babies, toddlers, young children, the elderly, and the hundreds of millions who have no access to technology at all.

This figure is rapidly growing on a daily basis. An in-depth report indicated that there were 4.33 billion active internet users in 2019. Less than one year later, the figure was 4.57 billion. That means that more than 240 million people were introduced to the internet in the last year alone.

That same report indicates that the per-year growth rate of new internet users is around 8%. The number of internet users is growing at approximately 8x the rate of the total population growth, as technology becomes more affordable and accessible for a wider range of people.

Global Internet Access Stats: How Does Internet Access Vary Around the World?

The percentage of people with internet access is far higher in more developed countries. For example, in the United States, roughly 81% of the population uses the internet on a daily basis, according to Pew Research, and more than 91% of Americans have access to the internet. Stats in the United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea, and other highly developed nations are similar.

Then again, due to the large populations of many Asian countries, the vast majority of internet users reside in Asia. China alone has more than 850 million internet users, more than 2.5x the total population of the United States.

Here is the internet penetration rate (which shows what percentage of the population has access to the internet):

  • North America – 90.3%
  • Europe – 87.2%
  • Latin America/Caribbean – 71.5%
  • Middle East – 70.8%
  • Oceana/Australia – 67.7%
  • Asia – 58.8%
  • Africa – 42.2%

The way people access the internet also differs in various countries. In developing nations, mobile internet users far exceed desktop and laptop users.

Internet Usage Statistics: How Much Time Do People Spend on the Internet?

In 2019, the average active internet user spent a whopping 6.5 hours online every day. Keep in mind that this figure includes all time spent online, including during working hours.

Even so, the figure is staggering. We spend more time on the internet than we do on just about any activity, apart from sleeping. What kind of effect might this be having on our societies?

The internet can certainly contribute to some of society’s problems. For example, rates of anxiety disorders in children and teens are growing rapidly, and some experts point to social media as a root cause.

On the other hand, the internet appears to have a net-positive effect on the global population as a whole. Several prominent studies have shown a positive correlation between access to the internet and personal happiness and satisfaction. Researchers found that having internet access empowered individuals, giving them a better sense of security, influence, and personal freedom.

Internet Access Stats: How Do People Access the Internet?

The internet can be accessed via desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and specialty electronics like smart TVs and even vehicles. Internet usage trends (such as the specific internet activities people engage in) vary significantly depending on the device used to access the web. Smartphone users, for instance, tend to spend more time inside apps, while desktop users spend the most time in web browsers.

Today, the majority of internet users access the web via mobile devices. Approximately 50.6% of overall web traffic originates on mobile devices (mobile phones, for the most part), while desktop and laptop account for about 45.5%. The remainder comes from tablets, at only 3.75%.

This is largely due to the affordable nature of mobile phones. Smartphones also improve internet access because they communicate with the web via a cell network, rather than WiFi or a wired internet connection, which is less accessible in developing nations.

Mobile devices from Apple and Android have made it easier, and cheaper, for citizens of developing countries to come online. Meanwhile, mobile apps have made internet content even more engaging, allowing us to interact with the internet wherever we are.

Internet Browser Statistics

Internet browsers are how most of us access the internet. Market share is split between many competitors but dominated by just a few.

Here’s a breakdown of the internet browser market share:

  • Google Chrome – 69.42%
  • Safari – 8.74%
  • Firefox – 8.48%
  • Microsoft Edge – 3.48%
  • Internet Explorer – 2.88%
  • Opera – 2.39%

The data above refers to data from desktop and laptop use.

For mobile phones, here’s the breakdown:

  • Chrome – 64.11%
  • Safari – 22.58%
  • Samsung Internet – 6.75%
  • UC Browser – 2.75%
  • Opera – 1.79%
  • Firefox – 0.48%

As you can see, Safari commands a much higher percentage of mobile browser market share, thanks to the popularity of Apple iPhones.

Mobile Internet Statistics

While we may think of the internet as something that is primarily accessed on desktop computers, this is no longer the case. Increasingly, more and more people are using mobile devices to access the internet. Here are some interesting mobile internet stats and mobile search statistics.

Web Search Statistics

When faced with a problem or a question, most of us pull out our phones and search the web for it immediately. While there are many ways to search, Google is by far the dominant search engine. Here are some interesting web search statistics.

Website Statistics: How Many Websites Are There?

A huge part of the internet is websites we access daily for information, communication, and entertainment. But how many websites are there?

  • According to Internet Live Stats, there are approximately 1.8 billion websites on the internet currently. However, only around 200 million of those are actively updated.
  • As for domain names (example.com, or example.org), there are at least 334 million currently registered. This data was from 2016, so the figure is almost certainly higher.
  • Google, the largest search engine, has over 6 billion indexed pages. Daily Google searches are estimated to be at around 3.5 billion each and every day.
  • WordPress, a popular content management system, powers approximately 33.5% of all the websites online today.
  • Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia, is considered the largest website – but it’s not the one with the most traffic. That title belongs to Google.com
  • English is used as the primary language by over 60% of all websites. The next two most popular languages on the web are Russian (8.6%) and Spanish (4%).
  • The three most popular web hosting providers are Amazon, GoDaddy, and Endurance Group (Bluehost, HostGator, and others). Each controls just over 5% of the global market share.
  • There are hundreds of Top Level Domains (TLDs), from .com and .net to country-specific ones like .co.uk. The most popular, by far, is .com, with over 145 million .com domains registered

Social Media Statistics

Today, social media platforms make up a huge part of what we refer to as “the internet”. Social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat are playing an increasingly large role in all of our lives. Here are some interesting social media statistics.

  • Social media users spend on average 144 minutes per day on social platforms
  • Over 90% of Americans aged 18-29 use social media
  • Facebook is the biggest social media network with 2.6 billion monthly active users
  • Direct messaging apps like Snapchat, WeChat, WhatsApp, and others are growing more rapidly than traditional social media sites
  • 74% of Facebook users check the platform every day

Internet of Things (IoT) Statistics

The Internet of Things, or IoT, is a term that refers to a network of physical devices that use technology (such as sensors or software) that allow them to connect and exchange information with one another. Examples of the Internet of Things include Smart Home systems, advanced factory manufacturing systems, and more.

Internet of Things is becoming increasingly more important in our daily lives, as well as in the global economy. The technology is being used in households, hospitals, factories, and even in fields of crops. Here are some interesting statistics about IoT:

Internet of Things in the Home

Smart Home devices make up the majority of consumer-facing IoT technologies. Smart assistant tech like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, etc. have made it easy for consumers to integrate various IoT tech into their homes.

Internet of Things in Industry & Business

The bulk of IoT spending and integration takes place in the industrial world. This includes the use of industrial robots, smart manufacturing technologies, autonomous drones, wearable IoT tech, advanced sensor devices, and much more. Manufacturers, utility companies, and construction firms are among the most aggressive in implementing IoT technology.

Internet of Things in Healthcare

Healthcare is another industry that is rapidly adopting IoT technology to improve efficiencies and patient outcomes. Hospitals are implementing smart patient monitors, AI-enabled imaging devices, and more. In healthcare, IoT technology has the potential to take the pressure off of medical staff, by allowing technology to assist in the monitoring of patient vitals and other key measurements.

Internet of Things in Agriculture

Agriculture, or farming, doesn’t seem like it should be a high-tech industry. However, with the massive scale of modern agriculture, today’s farms are becoming increasingly automated and “smart”. IoT is helping farmers gather key data about their crops, such as moisture levels, disease prevalence, and even soil health and nutrient content. Agriculture giants now use smart sensors spread throughout their fields, as well as autonomous drones to survey huge areas of cropland. Researchers hope that IoT technology can help increase yields, reduce water and fertilizer use, and improve efficiencies to help agriculture keep up with the earth’s growing population.

Internet Advertising Statistics

The internet has become a powerful tool for businesses to reach new customers. Paid online advertising, in particular, has become all but essential for modern businesses. Today, the majority of companies pay for some form of digital advertising, on channels including social media and paid search ads. And, as consumers, we are faced with what seems like hundreds of advertisements on a daily basis. Here are some interesting internet advertising statistics.

  • In 2018, roughly 66% of companies invested in some form of paid online advertising
  • Among the businesses surveyed, 86% utilized social media ads, 80% purchased display ads, 66% used paid search marketing, and 43% used retargeted ads
  • Although more businesses utilized social media advertising than paid search advertising, paid search was a larger channel overall, with 17% of global ad spend (compared to 13% for social media)
  • Television advertising, commanding 29% of global advertising spend, is the only advertising channel that is larger than online advertising
  • Nearly half of all online users had an ad-blocking software or extension installed on at least one device

eCommerce & Online Shopping Statistics

Online shopping is becoming so popular that it can really just be called “shopping”. Apart from staples like groceries, most people in wealthy countries now take to the internet often to purchase goods and services. Here are some interesting eCommerce statistics.

The Internet & The Economy

Some of the most interesting internet statistics relate to its vital relationship with the global economy. The internet is involved in just about every aspect of the modern economy, from direct sales to communication to the way in which most workers do their jobs.

Take eCommerce sales, for example. eCommerce makes up over 15% of the total retail sales in the United States, and the figure is growing rapidly.

As more and more business activity moves online, largely to online retailers such as Amazon and eBay, eCommerce sales are becoming even more important to the overall economy. The ratio of retail e-commerce sales is a closely watched figure among economists and business analysts.

Here’s another example of how important the internet is to the world of business: 7 out of 10 of the most valuable companies in the world are all tech-related. Tech firms like Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, and China’s Tencent are among the most valuable publicly traded companies in the world.

The Future of the Internet

The internet has fundamentally changed our lives. It’s been around for about 50 years – although its use has only been widespread for around half that time. It’s difficult to say what the internet may look like in the future, but it’s a fascinating question to ponder.

In 2019, the Pew Research Center surveyed a number of technology experts, asking them what the future of the tech world may be like. Most were optimistic, noting that the internet has the power to help us work less, collaborate and communicate more seamlessly, and even live longer.

In the future, the internet will likely unlock new ways to communicate, allow us to track our own health data more accurately, and potentially completely transform the way we work and live. It could change a lot about our lives for the better – but there are also substantial risks.

If the right policies and public attitudes are not implemented, the internet could also cause negative changes. A reduction in privacy, a growing dependence on technology, and worsening economic inequality are just a few of the concerns policymakers must keep in mind as they seek to regulate the internet.

While the true future of the internet is impossible to predict, suffice it to say that the online world is here to say – and it’s only bound to become an even more integral part of our lives.
